The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (formerly the Rock County Humane Society) is a private nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to provide shelter and humane care to lost and homeless pets, reunite lost pets with their families, promote positive pet adoptions and educate our community in order to inspire compassion and responsible pet guardianship.

Fostering is a loving way to help a shelter animal acclimate to a home setting before being adopted into a permanent home.

Basics Co-Op Round Up
October 6th | 10am-12pm | Basics Co-Op
Our friends at the Basics Co-Op have selected us for the Round Up Recipient for October! This means that all month long when you shop at Basics, you will have the option to round-up your total to the nearest dollar and your change will be donated to HSSW. Plus, we’ll be out at Basics on October 6th from 10am-12pm (weather permitting) with an adoptable dog to tell you all about HSSW and our mission to help pets go home again!

Pucks & Paws
October 10th | 6pm | Woodman’s Center
Join us for a Janesville Jets game with a four-legged twist! We’ll be out at the game selling 50/50 raffle tickets, cracking open cold ones in the arena, and collecting donations from wish list too! All 50/50 raffle proceeds & tips from the mobile beverage stand will come back to HSSW to support our mission of helping pets go home again. AND we’ll have at least one furry friend waiting to meet you! Doors open at 6pm and the puck drops at 7:05pm – see you there!

Mutts & Martinis
October 15th | 5:30pm-9pm | The Stack
Join us at The Stack for delicious food, specialty martinis, silent and live auctions, and more! You will spend the evening sipping specialty martinis, socializing, and making memories while supporting HSSW’s mission to help pets go home.
During cocktail and networking time, you can place your bids at our Silent Auction, take your chances at our Wine Pull, and visit with adoptable HSSW dogs. Each table will have a charcuterie board centerpiece to snack on throughout the event and dinner will follow these activities. READ MORE…
