Welcome to HSSW
The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (formerly the Rock County Humane Society) is a private nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to provide shelter and humane care to lost and homeless pets, reunite lost pets with their families, promote positive pet adoptions and educate our community in order to inspire compassion and responsible pet guardianship.
From socializing cats to walking dogs to helping at events to raising kittens, there’s a little something for everyone!
Helping pets go home again. That’s our mission every day. In 2023 alone we helped 2,274 pets find safe and loving homes.

Our Services
Spay/Neuter
The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin is happy to offer low-cost spay and neuter services to the community.
Wellness/Vaccine Clinic
HSSW is happy to offer low-cost vaccines and wellness services to the community every Monday and Thursday from 10am-5pm.
